The H Family (Inspiration Through Art Session)

I was ridiculously excited when Jennifer contacted me through the Inspiration Through Art site. I’ve been a member for a while now, but this was my first contact for a session. Here is a small little blurb about ITA:

Inspiration Through Art is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering people to give back, and make a difference through the beauty of art. We are artists with a passion for giving and inspiring others. Through our own artistic talents, we are able to come together as one, to let children around the world know that they are loved, despite the challenges they face everyday.

The H family includes two ridiculously sweet kids, the youngest being Georgia, who was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome at 18 months. Angelman Syndrome is a rare neurogenetic disorder that leads to significant developmental disabilities and cognitive delays, but that doesn’t define Miss Georgia. She is truly just all smiles, bright eyes, and pure sunshine bottled up into a petite little package. Her brother just loves her so, and from the images below, you can tell she loves her brother as well.

A note from Jennifer:

Georgia is a sweet-natured, beautiful, and social toddler. [...] We are hopeful she will one day walk and talk, knowing that some “angels” diagnosed with AS are never able to run with other children or say “I love you,” and many regress with severe seizures. People are drawn to Georgia’s sweet personality, laugh, and smile. She is love, pure happiness, and a light in our lives.

The H family and many others are participating in the Angelman Syndrome Foundation Walk tomorrow, May 18th, 2013.  They’ve already SMASHED their original goal of $2,500, and continue to raise funds and awareness towards AS. If you are able, please consider donating a small amount towards the AS foundation. Give up that Starbucks cup of coffee for a day and put it towards a cause that can TRULY make a difference in the coming years with a cure and powerful treatments for Angelman Syndrome! Visit their page here and click “Support Me!” to donate!:)Also, when you click on that link you get a pretty awesome sound effect. Ha!:D

Thank you, thank you again, H family, for allowing me to be a part of your awesome story and document your amazingly sweet family!

Molli + Luke (St. Peter’s Church Wedding – Part II)

Here is part two of Molli and Luke’s wonderful Lindsay, TX wedding! You can check out part one here at the beautiful St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay. Molli and Luke had a PIE BAR at their reception. I repeat: A PIE BAR. At one point I actually took a pie away to use it for pictures, and I believe that everyone there might have thought I was just helping myself to an entire pie. Which… actually totally fits my profile.

These two are so sweet. They actually had a cake baked for Molli’s sister as it was her birthday and everyone sang happy birthday to her. Seriously! How thoughtful! There were also some very talented singers who contributed to the wedding music as well.:)The night ended with some awesome car decorations as well as a glow stick grand exit!

Molli + Luke (St. Peter’s Church Wedding)

I LOVE Lindsay weddings. Why? Because this church is 4 blocks from my house. Haha! No, that’s not the reason why! I love them because every time you attend any function in Lindsay, everyone treats you like family. It’s a small town with a HUGE heart. Molli and Luke both emulate that so well. It’s hard when you meet someone as beautiful as Molli when she’s got a big heart and awesome personality to match.

Here is the first half of Molli and Luke’s special day here in Lindsay, TX at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lindsay. Believe it or not, this wedding was a DIY wedding with the bride doing all the flowers herself. WHAT?! Yes. Seriously, look below and see!

Other things to look out for below: A first look between father and daughter–there wasn’t a dry eye in the house, coral wedding colors, an heirloom rosary passed down through many family weddings, and some AWESOME drool-worthy pumps.
